Medical Outreach to St. Vincent De Paul Society
On the 30th of January 2024, we paid a visit to the St Matthews Catholic Church orphanage in Ondo, which is run by the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Our visit was met with a warm reception from the director, who is also the national president of St Louis old girl’s society as well as a dedicated member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. The director took the time to introduce herself and provided us with valuable insights into the impactful work that their organization is committed to.
During the introductory discussion, the director shared that their primary focus lies in providing aid, both in terms of food and financial assistance, to individuals who are not financially capable of meeting their basic needs. As we listened to the organization’s mission and objectives, it became evident that some of their goals resonated with our foundation’s mission.
In expressing the alignment of our goals, we conveyed our purpose for the visit — to contribute to their noble cause by donating essential food items. We presented a bag of rice, a carton of noodles, and twenty packets of spaghetti, aiming to support the vulnerable population that the organization serves. Our intention was not only to provide immediate aid but also to express our commitment to future collaborations.
During discussions, we elaborated on our desire to establish a partnership for upcoming initiatives aimed at assisting the less privileged in the community. The director, acknowledging the shared vision and objectives, readily agreed to the prospect of future collaborations.
To mark this significant moment, we took photographs to commemorate the visit, capturing the spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
